Improving the Delivery of Supply Chain Management

Ontario is developing a province-wide strategy to improve the delivery of supply chain management in the healthcare sector.

This strategy, the Healthcare Sector Supply Chain Strategy (HSSCS), builds on the government's efforts to optimize supply chain efficiencies and improve quality, while focusing on enhancing services to patients.

In April 2016, the government of Ontario established an expert panel to make recommendations for this strategy. The panel submitted its report, Advancing Healthcare in Ontario: Optimizing the Healthcare Supply Chain - A New Model, in spring 2017.

Over the coming months, the government will review the panel's recommendations, and engage sector partners in a dialogue that considers building and modernizing our supply chain model in healthcare, leveraging the investments and advances already made.

If you would like to be added to the HSSCS email distribution list to receive project updates, please submit your information below or email healthcarescm@ontario.ca.
