As health care professionals, your patients look to you for trusted professional advice and guidance when it comes to understanding the role vaccines play in helping to manage their health. Public opinion research clearly indicates that your recommendation is the key factor in a patient’s decision to get the vaccines that will strengthen their immune system. On this website, you will find several tools to benefit your practice and assist you in informing your patients about the importance of these vaccines.

Ontario has expanded its publicly funded immunization program by introducing :

• A new oral rotavirus vaccine
• A new combined measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV) vaccine
• Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) for adults; and
• A two-dose varicella program

An accredited CME program has been developed to assist you in responding to your patients’ questions about these changes to the publicly funded immunization program.
