List of Prescription Drugs (Formulary)
The list of prescription drugs funded by the province through its Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program is called the Ontario Drug Formulary.
The Formulary serves as a:
- Guide to practitioners and pharmacists regarding drug products which are eligible for coverage under ODB
- Guide to professional committees in hospitals and institutions in the selection of drug products
- Guide to drug product interchangeability, listing those drugs that deliver exactly the same health outcome and are therefore regarded as interchangeable.
- Comparative pricing guide for drug products.
