What does the program cover?

This program covers a number of diabetic testing agents. People with diabetes use these products to test sugar levels in blood.

How do I join the program?

Talk to your doctor about obtaining a prescription for diabetic testing agents. Be sure to have your doctor check that the product is on the ministry’s approved list for covered ODB products.

What costs will I pay?

ODB reimburses you for the cost of approved diabetic testing agents up to a maximum price and in some cases quantity. If your doctor prescribes a product that is more expensive than the maximum allowed under ODB, you will have to pay the extra cost.
