The Community Care Access Corporations Act, 2001

In 2011, the Commnunity Care Access Corporations Act was amended to add a new section, section 6.1, which gives people the right to communicate in French with Community Care Access Corporations (CCACs). Specifically, it states that a person has the right to communicate in French with, and to receive available services in French from, a community care access corporation. Further, the board of directors of a community care access corporation shall take all reasonable measures and make all reasonable plans to ensure that persons may exercise the right to use French given by this section.  Section 6.1, and the right to communicate in French with CCACs, applies to CCACs and persons as of January 1, 2012.  To access the Act, click here.
