Implementation of Off-Formulary Interchangeability

On April 1, 2007 the Ontario Government implemented Off-Formulary Interchangeability (OFI) as part of its plan to reform the Ontario drug system.

OFI is the application of interchangeability designations to drug products where the original product is not listed on the Ontario Formulary.

Pharmaceutical manufacturers should refer to this web site for any future updates to the OFI submissions process and timelines.
