Provincial Status Indicators

 

Declaration of  Routine conditions means that the healthcare system is operating under normal conditions. Under these conditions the ministry maintains ongoing surveillance for abnormal events.

 

Declaration of  Enhanced conditions means that an abnormal event, potential or actual emergency has been detected or is in development. Under these conditions the ministry enhances its surveillance and monitoring activities and takes appropriate related actions. For updates and important information, health care professionals would continue to check the Emergency Management Branch section of this website.

 

Declaration of  Emergency conditions means that the province is in an emergency response mode. Under these conditions the ministry implements its Ministry Emergency Response Plan (MERP) and activates its Ministry Emergency Operations Centre (MEOC) in order to coordinate the appropriate response activities. For updates and important information, health care professionals would continue to check the Emergency Management Branch section of this website.

 

Declaration of  Recovery conditions means that the ministry is working to ensure a smooth transition from Enhanced or Emergency Conditions to Routine Conditions.
