Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee (PIDAC)
Effective April 1, 2011, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care transferred the responsibility for the functions of the Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee (PIDAC) to the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion (OAHPP). As of that date, PIDAC no longer acts as an advisory body to Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health. The OAHPP is now accountable for PIDAC functions and advice provided by PIDAC members.
The OAHPP is an arms-length public health agency, dedicated to protecting and promoting the health of all Ontarians through application and advancement of science and knowledge.
