| Health care providers are reminded that in order to
ensure that December 1999 month-end processing is successfully completed by the 30th
of December, the cut-off date for submission of Machine Readable Input claims for the
month of December 1999 is revised from the 18th to the 15th of
December. The cut-off date of the 10th for paper claims remains unchanged. If time and volume permits, Electronic Data Transfer (EDT) claims received
after the 15th may be processed for payment, as per usual, up to the beginning
of month-end claims processing on December 23, 1999.
To ensure that your claims are received by the revised due date, you
are reminded to contact your billing agent and courier service that the date for receipt
of your claims by the ministry is December 15, 1999. Also, that claims received after that
date will be processed for the February 2000 payment period.
Providers are also encouraged to submit any registration changes
(e.g., address changes, banking information updates, changes to group affiliations) to
their district office by December 10, 1999.
The change to the cut-off date is for the month of December 1999
only. These changes will have no impact on the January 2000 payment schedule. |
