Electronic Data Transfer (EDT) Service

Acceptable Claim Submission Media Types

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is discontinuing older media types for claim submissions and will be phasing out the following media types on the effective dates as listed below :

Media Type	Submission End Date
9 Track Tape	March 31, 2005
3480 Cartridge	March 31, 2006
3.5 inch low (double) density diskettes	August 31, 2006

Health care providers are encouraged to register for EDT as an alternative to these media types.
