e-Health Program

Assistant Deputy Minister

Gail Paech
Assistant Deputy Minister

Divisional Mandate

The e-Health Program helps to ensure that information and information technology are used to improve and modernize Ontario's health care system, and to improve the quality of - and access to - health care services. The e-Health Program develops policies, helps establish

provincial health information technology standards, develops the business architecture for the broader health system, and ensures that e-Health initiatives are aligned with the provincial e-Health Strategy. It also acts as the provincial government's interface with Canada Health Infoway and oversees the Smart Systems for Health Agency. The e-Health Program is also available to assist broader health sector organizations that are leading local and regional e-Health projects.
