Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Recognition

Pre-May 2001 Advanced Care Paramedic Training

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Advanced Care Paramedic Examination was first offered in May 2001. Paramedics who have graduated from an MOHLTC-approved advanced care paramedic training program prior to May 1st 2001 need to register with Emergency Health Services Branch in order to be recognized as an ACP.

Each applicant needs to provide EHSB with proof of successful completion of the advanced care paramedic training program (correspondence on original letterhead from the institution or an official transcript) along with a completed Pre-May 01/2001 ACP Recognition Application Form.

Once eligibility for recognition has been confirmed, an official letter confirming MOHLTC ACP status and an ACP certificate will be provided to the applicant.
