Making Research Relevant : Annual Report 1999/ 2000
The "Making Research Relevant" annual report for 1999/2000 documents the health research investment administered by the Research Unit of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. This report makes the connection between the research funded and the information needs of policy makers, health service planners, managers and providers. We have written this report to be user-friendly and informative. We have tried to provide information in a non-academic style, to ensure the widest possible relevance and would value comments on whether we have succeeded. This report is one component of our efforts to deliver reliable and useful information. Such information can aid decision-making in policy, planning and service delivery, and further an integrated provincial capacity to carry out and apply health services research. We hope that this report will serve as a medium for the free and open flow of information that is key to successful research and effective decision-making.
