The Minister has created a Drug System Secretariat to review Ontario's prescription drug system and develop recommendations for its future.

The Drug System Secretariat is consulting with healthcare stakeholders to seek their opinions on addressing drug system challenges and ensuring its long-term sustainability. As part of this process, we are inviting any interested groups or individuals to make a written submission to the secretariat.

We want our provincial drug system on a sustainable footing to ensure Ontarians continue to have access to the medications and treatments they need.

The Ontario government currently spends $3 billion annually -- a significant amount of our health care budget -- to provide prescription drug coverage to over 2.2 million Ontarians through the Ontario Drug Benefit Program, one of the most generous public programs in Canada.

1. Identify the most significant concerns or challenges in the current provincial drug system, particularly as they relate to you or your organization.
2. Recommend possible solutions to meet these challenges and improve the drug system.
3. Propose how you or your organization could contribute to the solution.
