Hand Hygiene Health care associated infections (HAI) can be addressed through proper hand hygiene. Proper hand hygiene will protect patients and providers, reduce the spread of infections and the associated costs with treating infections, reduce hospital lengths of stay and readmissions, reduce wait times, and prevent deaths.
