LHIN Board Recruitment
LHIN Governance
LHINs are governed by an appointed board of directors and bound by performance agreements with the ministry. The boards are appointed by an Order-in-Council. Board members are selected using a merit-based process, with all candidates assessed for fit between skills and abilities of the prospective appointee and the needs of each individual LHIN. The appointment process is transparent and consistent – with clear and understandable guidelines applied consistently to all board appointments. Board members will be expected to possess relevant expertise, experience, leadership skills, and have an understanding of local health issues, needs and priorities. LHIN boards reached their full complement of up to nine members in the spring of 2006. LHIN Board Positions
In accordance with the established process, all persons applying to serve on any government agency, board or commission must apply through the Public Appointments Secretariat (PAS). For additional information, including a description of each LHIN agency and requirements to serve as a part-time LHIN director, please visit the Public Appointments Secretariat (PAS) website at : www.pas.gov.on.ca. The PAS website includes a full listing and descriptions of all government agencies, including LHINs, and a "How to Apply" section. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
