How Wait Time Information Can Help You

You can use wait time information to find hospitals with the shortest wait for the procedure you need. You can ask your doctor if they can refer you to another specialist or hospital with a shorter wait.

Use this search tool to see the wait times in your area for cancer surgery, cardiac procedures, cataract surgery, diagnostic scans, and joint replacement. These are some suggested questions for you to ask and think about when discussing wait times with your doctor or specialist. These questions and answers explain how wait times data are collected, why certain hospitals and surgeries are not included, and factors that may affect the length of wait times.
