An error was made in applying the Kaplan Board of Arbitration Award Year 4 (2020-2021) rates to the Northern & Rural Recruitment & Retention Initiative (NRRRI) physician payments issued between April 1, 2020 and October 31, 2020.

The Year 4 rates were incorrectly applied based on the NRRRI physician’s specialty classification relativity rate but should have been applied based on the Year 4 approved relativity rate of 3.8208% for the NRRRI Program. As a result, adjustments will be processed to correct the error beginning in late December 2020 or as part of the next quarterly NRRRI installment, within the next three months.
