Pharmacists will be paid a fee per eligible claim for one of the publicly funded influenza vaccines administered to eligible Ontarians who are 5 years of age and older. The claim must be submitted through the ministry's Health Network System (HNS) using the assigned Drug Identification Number. The 2018/2019 updated Notice from the Executive Officer will be published later in the fall and will provide further information on Pharmacist Administration of Publicly Funded Influenza Vaccine and Claims Submission using the HNS.
If an individual does not have an OHIP card, they are still eligible to receive publicly funded influenza vaccine, however, these doses are non-reimbursable. Please complete an Influenza Vaccine Utilization Report form for these doses for vaccine administration tracking purposes and submit the form to UIIP.MOH@ontario.ca.
Pharmacies that plan to use the services of a prequalified health care agency to administer influenza vaccines should refer to the pharmacies with health care agencies section.
