French Language Health Services

The Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991: Schedule 2, section 86

The Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) ensures that a person has the right to use French in all dealings (within reason) with a College of a health profession or group of health professions established or continued under a health profession act. Colleges shall also identify and record the language preference of each member and identify the language preference of each member of the public who has dealings with them. Furthermore, College Councils shall take all reasonable measures and make all reasonable plans to ensure that persons may use French in all dealings with the College.
